Teaching Religious Education
St Matthew's CE Primary School is a Church school and is part of The London Diocesan Board for Schools. We follow their recommended scheme of work, called Every Child Matters to God.
In a Church school, Religious Education has to be more than imparting information. Children do more than learn about religion, they also learn from it and develop the knowledge that religion and faith have the capacity to change lives.
We are an inclusive school and the children will learn about other faiths and celebrate diversity. They will also learn that they are part of a worshipping community.
